Testimonials
"Sometimes in life we experience moments of surprise which remain embedded in our consciousness for infinity. About seven years ago, while seeking, out of personal anguish, a religiously existential synagogue in the St. Louis area, I started to daven in the outstandingly warm environment of the University City Shul. The place grew on me and my old friends with many new ones buoyed my spirit and psyche.
"One Shabbat morning, to my utter astonishment, I discovered at my regular seat an exquisite, handcrafted, solid wooden shtender-lectern (as I had never seen before) with my name engraved on its top in gold. The refined wooden door with its keyless lock opened to a cubby that would hold my books perfectly.
"I knew Avraham Zelig was a gifted and an exacting carpenter from the floors he had designed and created for special people in the community but this was just the most appealing wood sculpted piece of functional furniture I had ever owned - and I am not that young anymore.
"Five years later this shtender lives on as the viable and cherished centerpiece in our downsized rented abode in Long Island. It's what I have to learn on - and somehow it seems to have developed without a single defect - a more aesthetic inner and external neshama of its own.
"Avraham Zelig - Thank you for the outstanding gift of a lifetime! You really are an incredibly passionate artist and your work's unflinching endurance is such a wonderful testimony to your craftsmanship and selected material."

"Wow!!! Absolutely stunning. I only wish my personal t'filos were as beautiful to the Ribono Shel Olam as my shtender. Avraham Zelig does a painstakingly beautiful job in crafting each of his works. His love and dedication to each project is clearly visible."

"My wife purchased a shtender made by Avraham Zelig about 7 years ago. What a wonderful gift. I used it in our shul in St. Louis until we moved to Florida about 4 years ago. It is now prominently displayed near our shabbos table. I have received many positive comments about it. I highly recommend Avaraham Zelig to any one considering having any shul furniture made. He is a master craftsman and a perfectionist."
